Pot CEO Offers $10k Bounty to Get Lebron to His Comic-Con Booth
BudTrader Exec is determined to show LeBron the BudTrader experience and ask the new Laker some real questions
SAN DIEGO, Calif., July 16– BudTrader CEO Brad McLaughlin is focused on throwing the biggest party imaginable at San Diego Comic-Con International. A cannabis tech entrepreneur is offering $10,000 to anyone who can get NBA superstar LeBron James to attend the BudTrader Nerd HQ convention this weekend.
In a statement, McLaughlin laid out the rules for his LeBron award very clearly.
“You can’t kidnap him,” McLaughlin states. “No, I don’t think you literally can. He’s 6’8″, 300 lbs, has a 40 inch vertical and he’s the greatest athlete of our generation. So we’re going to have to appeal to LeBron in ways other than brute force.”
Another rule that McLaughlin brought up is that LeBron has to hang around BudTrader Nerd HQ for at least 23 minutes. “No walking!” says McLaughlin, “We want to meet him and see what he’s all about. Is he that into us? Is he here to win titles? Or is he here to go to Magic Johnson’s ‘how to become a billionaire and own an NBA private school team? What what we really want to know is, “is he just waiting for time to run out, punching the clock, stuck in this messed up LA traffic, just like the rest of us, until he retires and cruises for 22-year-old models at the sky bar like every other retired guy in LA?”
Third, McLaughlin says he will allow LeBron to ‘surrender’ by appearing at the BudTrader Comic-Con experience himself. In this case, BudTrader will donate a prize of $10,000 to a noble cause. McLaughlin suggests that LeBron consider investing in what he considers a ‘noblest cause’, hiring an In-N-Out Burger truck to come to the BudTrader experience at San Diego Comic-Con and feed the SoCal attendees – Lebron’s new fans . The NBA megastar just signed with the Los Angeles Lakers in an incredible decision. “If Lebron is now a Los Angeles Laker and a guy from LA, he must know about the In-N-Out burger, dammit! We’re trying to win an NBA championship here people!”
Next, McLaughlin lays out the fourth rule for his LeBron James Award: No Smoking LeBron! “At least it’s not the first time we’ve met him!” he adds, following solid reasoning, “Magic Johnson, the Lakers and his management team won’t let him near us if they think we’re going to smoke him. All we need is for LeBron to test positive for THC and get suspended by the NBA for BudTrader. I have enough trouble now so… We don’t smoke King James people! Wait until we win the championship and then we smoke with LeBron, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Phil Jackson , Jack Nicholson and Rick Fox (I feel like Rick Fox is a hot guy, he would be a good guy at the Championship after party sesh. Hot chicks are probably following him and we don’t want the Championship after party to be a sausage fest.)”
BudTrader Nerd Headquarters is slated to be one of the most talked about events at Comic-Con, and is being touted as a live experience that will rival even the big-budget studios and shows. “Our audience is going to be bigger than the TV networks, like the entire audience of TBS,” McLaughlin said. The brand will host daily events such as exclusive movie and TV show previews, video game tournaments (including a showdown between professional gamers), celebrity interviews and a live performance by a mysterious top hip-hop star. The entire experience will be broadcast live on TV, radio, Twitch and live stream in collaboration with local and national channels to bring the BudTrader experience to millions of people. McLaughlin says the events that have been publicly announced so far are just a fraction of the tricks BudTrader has up its sleeve to wow Comic-Con International 2018 attendees.
This won’t be BudTrader’s first year at Comic-Con. BudTraders’ infamous 2017 superyacht party resulted in their controversial eviction after just two days. The yacht Budtrader was unceremoniously removed from the harbor in the middle of the night. As a result, BudTrader lost out on the planned Saturday extravaganza, along with tens of thousands of dollars in cancellation losses. Last year, BudTrader’s presence at Comic-Con was covered by publications such as High Times, Times of San Diego, The San Diego Union Tribune and over 400 other news outlets.
